Cloud Computing

Modern world is talking about the cloud computing.What it means? How it works?

Cloud computing is nothing but moving the data and computing to the centralized location and it displays the results in user screen which is computed in the centralized location. 

Cloud services can be categories in to three types

1. Software as a Service (SaaS)

2. Platform as a Service (PaaS)

3. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

1. Software as a Service

             Users can rent the tailor made softwares and databases in pay per usage subscription model. It will reduce the IT spending of the user.Users can utilize the greater computing power by saving the cost, space, power consumption and facility. 

2. Platform as a Service

             It will provide the facilities necessary to develop the application and service over the Internet. IaaS providers can transparently alter the platforms for their customers unique needs. Some of the PaaS providers are Cordys,CPF and SalesForce.

3. Infrastructure as a Service

             It provides the dynamic allocation of resources to users based on need basis. User do not need to operate their own data centers. Ad hoc systems allow quick customization of customer demands. Some of the IaaS providers are Amazon’s EC2, GoGrid, RightScale and Linode.

             

Cordys Apps

Hi All,

Currently I am working on two applications for Cordys, Expense Reporting and Expense Request. Also some integration stuffs related to CODA and PRJ, now everything is complete. Henk and Cees doing acceptance testing. I hope everything will go fine for making it in production tenant by first week of April.

Update on Quote App - Jan 31

Hi All,

The Quote App development is complete and KPN(Getronics) consultants are doing functional testing on it. Now I am currently working on FJ marketplace application, starting with Expense Request and Expense Reporting applications. Forgot to say I have developed Android application for Broekhius which is used for car trading and it has be converted to a project :) maybe need to work on iOS platform as well. Similarly for ASR developed mobile application in four different platforms iOS, Andorid, Blackberry OS and Windows Phone 7. It has been a great learning for me :) I hope more customers will be interested in mobile applications like this :)

Update on Quote App - Oct 12

Hi All,

Currently, I am working on Management Reports and which was little bit complex in the way of representing the data in the iReports but nice to work on this, since I got lot of knowledge in iReports. Also Getronics expecting the live data of the application before new year, so we need to complete the application before this month. Next month, will be fully occupied for AT testing and performance analysis. I hope everything will go as per the plan :)

Update on Quote App - Sept 16

Hi All,

Now, we got most of the inputs from the consultants of Getronics. Currently, I was working on Tree functionality, Condition Panel and BPMs related to those. Mustafa working on Customer Service, Line Panel and BPMs related to those. Renjith now shifted focus fully on calculation part that need to be done using scripting and Kiran was working on Container Panel and iReports related to that application. For now, customer was very much satisfied with the application and I hope we can continuously impress them with our application.

Update on Quote App - Sept 1

Hi All,

Last week, I was fully busy with bring Tree functionality into Getronics - Quote App and I did some prototype solution based on the existing case. Last Tuesday showed demo to customer and they liked it very much and asked us to keep it as main form navigation and currently I am working on it. Mustafa and Kiran working on the form controls of the application, Renjith working on calculation part using the Ruby Scripting for now, we have impressed customer in many places. I hope we will impress, customer in every new changes that we do :).

Update on Quote App - Aug 23

Hi All,

Last week, we showed demo to customer(Marc, Alex, Tim and Erik) of the prototype solution and they told us that they were impressed by the solution we developed using CPF. Then last week mostly worked on customer suggestion in UI as well as application object level changes and today in NL, Henk and our guys again will show demo on new changes and some requirement discussion yet to be happen. I hope everything will go well :)
