Philips Certify application update

Yesterday we had the discussion among the project manager and UI consultant regarding the application UI. I suggested one proposal; similarly others also suggested their proposals. Finally we came to the conclusion, with this input Senthil is working in the final UI proposal.  Anyway we would work on the forms after getting the proposal. So still that time we planned to work on the flows part. In the flow part mostly we completed all flows except Join and Split flows. So Mustafa took split functionality flow and I took join process. While doing the join flow I came to know that it is not easy. Hard in the sense we have to repeat same activity again and again. So I tried to normalize the traditional business process management steps. I thought of form the xml from the input to process the flow further, but through the string formulation I couldn’t achieve the XML formation in flow. I can do it through Java Script but it may cause some problem in future. So I dropped the plan. I started implementing the join functionality through traditional development method.

Today I have started with the join flow testing. I found some error in the flow, so I corrected those issues. It took more than 2 hours to complete testing as well as correction. Each and every day I am learning new things in the CPF even though I am working in the CPF for almost three years. Afternoon I started testing the business rules. Mostly it works fine. In the business flow still we have some doubts, waiting for answers from the Richards. This project is teaching me the business knowledge in the packing sector.

Their design document was not clear for us. This week only we got the requirement fully. One problem here is we are depends upon the consultant. Consultant is depends upon the Philips people, I think it is creating some delay in the requirement gathering. If this project will successfully deploy in the customer place means we will get more projects from them. I hope we will get more projects from them. Thanks for hearing folks.

Regards,
Srithar
