I like to share the different generations of HTML, which are official and its generation details as follows,
HTML 1.0 (1980)
–Language was very limiting.
–Used for displaying some simple text onto the web.
HTML 2.0 (1995)
–Added a few new features.
–The standard for website design until January 1997 and defined many core HTML features.
HTML 3.0 (1996)
–Added a few new features .
–The browsers were awfully slow in implementing any of the new improvements.
–Because of this failure HTML3.0 spec was abandoned.
HTML 3.2 (1997)
–The browser-specific tags kept coming.
–To this end, the World Wide Web Consortium (abbreviated to the W3C) was founded.
HTML 4.01 (1998)
–HTML 4.0 was a large evolution of the HTML standards.
–HTML 4.0 was recommended by the W3C in Dec 97 and became the official standard in Apr 98.
–New supporting presentational language, Cascading style sheets.
Thanks for reading,
